Report PDF contents and reuse

Download a readable Report PDF, reuse an accessible copy, and understand image, media, and layout limits.

A Report PDF is a readable snapshot for reviewing or sharing recorded results. It can reuse an existing accessible copy when the Report content and evidence access still match.

Prepare or download a PDF

  1. Open the Report and verify its attribution.
  2. Select Export > PDF.
  3. Wait for preparation and complete the device's save or share prompt.
  4. Open the saved PDF and check its answers, evidence, and any unavailable-image notices before using it.

Selecting PDF again checks for an existing usable copy. Another authorized reviewer with the same content and evidence access can reuse that PDF. Simultaneous requests can share preparation.

CareMap checks current access and reads the actual stored file before reuse. Changed content or evidence access can require a new copy. A missing or corrupt stored file can be prepared again; other read or preparation failures remain errors to resolve. See export recovery.

What the PDF can include

Available sections include:

  • Report attribution, timing, and a voided notice and reason when applicable.
  • Visited field coverage when the recorded page lists support it.
  • Guide answers and evidence, including captured signature drawings.
  • Form instructions, submitted responses, grading, and available display or uploaded images.
  • Recorded observations and Activity and outcomes.

AI-assisted communication interpretations remain labeled as non-authoritative beside original responses when included. They are distinct from the Report's general AI summary.

The PDF is not an exact copy of the screen or current Guide/Form layout. It uses recorded evidence and its own print layout. App sorting controls do not change PDF order. Review Form submission in CareMap for a field-by-field display that also identifies unanswered fields.

Image and media limits

The PDF can embed supported saved photos, drawings, option images, Form display images, and uploaded images when available to the viewer. A saved Whiteboard uses its captured drawing; its background is not substituted for a missing drawing.

Some rich-text inline images and interactive presentation details do not carry into the print layout. Audio and video are not playable attachments in the PDF; download them separately from Report evidence.

Image processing, unsupported content, unavailable access, file size, and total PDF media limits can produce an explicit image notice. A PDF may finish successfully with such a notice, so successful export does not prove every image was embedded.

Check the live Report and download an authorized original when a PDF image is missing. Reopen Export > PDF after processing or access changes. If the same PDF is reused with an omission, use the live evidence for review rather than assuming the missing image has been restored.
