Launch an assigned Guide
Launch a Guide assignment for the intended person, preserve its context, and check the saved result.
Use the assignment's Launch action when doing assigned work. Opening the same Guide from Library or choosing Open guide does not attach that assignment.
Start and check the result
- Find the assignment in Home > For you > Assigned guides, or on the person's profile in People when that section is available. You can also use its dated Upcoming or Schedule row.
- Confirm the Guide, person, due date, status, and any notes.
- Select Launch and wait for the Guide player to open.
- Check About before answering. Resolve an unavailable or incorrect person before continuing.
- Complete the Guide and save its Report using the available completion controls.
- Return to the assignment and inspect the saved result in Reports. Confirm its About person, answers, and completion details.
Launching alone does not complete the assignment. However, its Completed badge can count a saved partial Report; it is not proof that every step was finished. See status and activity.
Access and repeated launches
You need current access to the Guide and its assigned person, plus permission to use the Guide. A removed or archived assignment cannot start a new run. An unavailable or archived subject can block a contextual Guide launch.
Completed assignments can still offer Launch. Repeating the work can produce another result; it does not erase earlier Reports or reset the assignment to Pending.
To continue saved work, use the explicit session or history entry described in Start or resume a Guide. Do not treat a fresh Launch as a promise to resume your earlier answers.
Notification and saved-link problems
An assignment notification can fail or open a local session that cannot save as expected. Start from the current assignment's Launch action instead of repeatedly tapping that notification.
A saved assignment link missing its assignment or person context can be blocked. Return to the visible assignment to obtain the current launch path.
If you already entered answers, preserve that session and device data. Check Session sync and assignment recovery before starting again or clearing local storage.
