Completion answers

Use Completion when someone performs an activity away from the screen and then confirms it in a Guide. Authors need Guide edit access. A supporting note or photo belongs to the same response.

Configure the method

1. Edit the Field, open Answer methods, and choose Add answer method → Completion.
2. Describe the activity in the Field prompt. Extra Instructions are optional; avoid repeating the prompt.
3. Leave Confirmation label blank for Complete, or enter your own wording. Optionally choose a button image and check its preview.
4. Set Supporting note to off or optional. When optional, customize the note placeholder if needed.
5. Set Supporting photo to Not Shown, Optional, or Required.
6. Review the Field's Response requirement, Report settings, and After a successful submit action.
7. Select Save block and test in Preview.

Builder name identifies the method in the editor. Confirmation label controls the task button's wording. Calling either one “Submit Report” does not configure an action to finish the Guide.

Choose one response or several methods

Use Supporting note/photo for details about the same confirmation. Use Add answer method for another response method, such as Type or Options. Adding one preserves the Completion settings and takes effect after Save block.

Each method keeps its own response. Enable Return to response methods when people should answer through several methods; see Field responses and visits.

To return to one confirmation button, select Completion and Use completion only. Review the listed methods that will be removed and confirm. Cancel keeps them. Save block commits the conversion; it does not happen merely by opening the confirmation dialog.

Choose a familiar image

The player's Settings → Accessibility → Guide → Completion image supplies a personal image. A usable activity-specific image takes priority, followed by the personal image, then the checkmark.

Use default checkmark clears the personal preference without removing an author's image. These visuals identify the confirmation button; they are not the photo evidence someone supplies. See Guide image preferences.

Requirements, actions, and Reports

Supporting photo Required means the photo must be ready before confirming this method. It does not itself make the whole Field required. Set Response requirement separately; other enabled response methods still follow the Field's shared rules.

When supporting details are enabled, Continue can give people time to add them before an action or return to the chooser. See complete a task with notes and photos.

Included Reports can contain the confirmation, note, and ready photo. Completion can map its confirmed state to a Form Checkbox; supporting details do not become separate mapped answers. See mapping compatibility.

If the player sees several answer tiles when you intended one confirmation, review the methods and use the supporting-detail controls. Test required photos and after-submit actions before sharing.
