Customize the mobile toolbar

On compact screens, the bottom toolbar keeps Home first and More last. You can place up to five other destinations between them. The full toolbar can therefore contain seven buttons; layouts with more than five total buttons use icons while retaining accessible destination names.

Choose shortcuts

1. Open More > Customize toolbar.
2. Review Bottom toolbar and Available in More.
3. Use a destination’s Add … to toolbar button, or drag its handle into Bottom toolbar.
4. Use Remove … from toolbar, or drag it to Available in More, to remove a shortcut. The destination remains available in More when permitted.
5. Drag a handle within Bottom toolbar to reorder shortcuts.
6. Select Done to return to More.

Changes apply immediately. Done closes customization; there is no separate Save or Cancel for the layout. Adding is unavailable when all five configurable places are filled—remove a shortcut first. Home and More are locked.

Only destinations available in the current workspace and permitted by your account and feature settings appear. Account, Settings, Help, and the separate organization controls remain in More rather than being configurable shortcuts.

Use the keyboard

Focus a drag handle and press Space or Enter to pick it up. Use Up/Down to move through its list; moving past a list’s boundary can move the destination between the two lists. Home/End moves to the first/last position in its current list. Press Space or Enter to drop, or Escape to cancel the current move. CareMap announces the destination and position. The Add/Remove buttons are also available without dragging.

Reset and understand persistence

Select Reset to default to immediately restore the default configurable choices: Library, Learn, and Notes. Only choices currently available to you will be shown. This does not change the desktop sidebar or Home sections.

Toolbar preferences are saved for your account in this browser profile or app on this device. They do not sync to other devices. Another account on the same device has its own toolbar preference. Clearing local app/site data can reset it.

Unavailable shortcuts are filtered out when a workspace or permission changes. Editing the toolbar saves the currently visible choices, so previously selected but unavailable destinations can be removed from the saved layout. Return to a workspace where a wanted destination is available and add it again if needed.

Return to the Library root

When Library is already open in a nested folder, tapping its toolbar button again returns to that workspace’s Library root. Use the folder’s own controls when you want to move up only one level.
