Forms
Organize Form sections and items
Rename, reorder, duplicate, move, and remove Form content with keyboard or touch controls.
Sections divide a Form into ordered steps. Items within each section appear in their authored order. Open an active Form for editing with folder edit access and workspace authoring available.
Add and name sections
- Select the current section in the Sections outline. On a narrow screen, use Open Form outline to show it.
- Select Add section from the outline or Section menu.
- Give the new section a useful title and optional description.
- Add fields or supporting content.
- Repeat as needed, then review the outline's order and item counts.
New sections appear at the end. Selecting a section changes the editing view; it does not move that section.
On wider screens, title and description edits enter autosave as you type. On narrow screens, select the text or edit control, then use its save checkmark. Leaving the small editor also applies the change; its cancel control or Escape discards it. Enter finishes a title; Ctrl/Cmd+Enter finishes a description.
You can also edit these values in Section > Section settings, where Done applies changes. Use that dialog for a section background override.
Reorder with touch, mouse, or keyboard
- Find the drag handle on a section in the outline or an item in the canvas.
- Drag it to the desired position and release.
- Alternatively, focus the handle and press Space or Enter to pick it up.
- Use arrow keys, Home, or End to choose a position, then Space or Enter to drop it. Escape cancels.
- Wait for the move to save before making another move.
Item handles reorder within the current section. To move an item elsewhere, open its menu, choose Move to section, and select another section. The item is appended there, and the editor selects its destination.
Duplicate or remove content
Section > Duplicate section inserts a copy immediately after the selected section, including its items and settings. An item's Duplicate item action inserts its copy immediately after the original.
Copies have independent questions and choices. Images can reference the same uploaded resource; deleting one copied item does not remove the other's image.
Delete item removes that item. Delete section removes the section and all its items immediately; there is no separate confirmation. The last remaining section cannot be deleted.
Use Undo promptly for an unintended removal. Undo belongs to the current editor session; it is not permanent version history.
Check the result
Reordering saves immediately. If saving fails, the previous order may return. If newer edits prevent that rollback, read the notice and preserve your work before reloading. Do not assume the displayed order reached the server.
Review Form issues after removals, especially when removing the last item from the entire Form. Then preview the section flow.
