Search Library

Find accessible Library content within the selected source.

Use Search Library to find folders and content you can access in the selected Library source. Search is useful when you know part of an item's name or need to jump to something outside the folder you are currently viewing.

Choose the right Library source

Library search follows the source shown at the top of Library, such as your personal workspace, an organization workspace, or a shared Library. If the source switcher is available, choose the source you want before searching.

Results only include items that are available to you in that source. Search does not show private content from another workspace, deleted items, or content you no longer have permission to view.

Search for an item

  1. Open Library.
  2. Use the app search field labeled Search Library.
  3. Enter part of a folder or content name.
  4. Select a result to open it or use its actions menu for the same actions you would normally have in Library.

Search results are grouped by item type: folders, Guides, Courses, Forms, templates, and files. In list and compact views, results also show the item's Library location so you can tell similarly named items apart.

What search can match

Library search is best for finding visible Library items by name and nearby Library details. Guide results can also match visible Guide details such as a description, audience, schedule, and location.

Library search is separate from CareMap Agent search and from the public Knowledge Base. It does not search inside every file's full text or return help articles.

Filters and empty results

View Options can hide certain content types. If matching items are hidden by your current type filters, CareMap shows a reset option so you can include those types again.

If CareMap says No accessible Library items matched, try:

  • checking that you are in the correct Library source;
  • using fewer or simpler words from the item's name;
  • clearing type filters in View Options;
  • opening the folder directly if you know where the item belongs; or
  • refreshing if the item was just shared, renamed, moved, uploaded, or restored.
