Convert a MyGuide 11 Guide

Use this workflow for a Guide discovered through a linked MyGuide 11 account. It creates editable CareMap content from supported source structure and media. It does not synchronize future source edits.

Convert one Guide

1. Open Settings > Account > Import and link the source account.
2. Find the Guide under its source library.
3. Select Convert.
4. Follow the status message and percentage.
5. After success, select Open guide to open the CareMap editor.

Individual conversions run one at a time for your account. Other Convert/Retry controls are unavailable while one is queued or running, or while a bulk batch is active or paused. Finish or cancel the batch before starting an individual conversion.

The conversion runs in the cloud; leaving Settings does not cancel it. Return to Import to check progress. A percentage describes conversion stages, not a promised time remaining.

Find and inspect the result

Copies are created in MyGuide 11 under your personal Library. The selected organization or Library source does not redirect this import. Personal authoring access and storage capacity are required.

Conversion can preserve supported sequences, pages, answer methods, routes, presentation, and media, but some legacy features are approximated or omitted. A completed job may explicitly report unsupported plugins omitted. Completion does not prove that the Guide behaves exactly like its source.

Open Import compatibility in the editor's Guide issue review. Check content, routes, choices, timing, speech, presentation, and media before assigning or sharing the Guide.

Retry without losing accepted progress

For a failed row, correct the reported problem and select Retry.

When resumable progress exists, retry uses the same partial Guide and accepted media. It resumes the saved conversion plan; source edits made after that plan was created are not automatically reread. A successful Guide offers Open guide, not a fresh conversion or update action.

Avoid editing or deleting an incomplete destination while conversion is still running or while you intend to retry. CareMap protects later edits and refuses to recreate a removed checkpoint destination automatically. See recovery guidance if it reports an edited destination or missing resumable progress.

Keep original data when needed

JSON downloads the source Guide data separately from conversion. Check your browser or device's download result and store the file appropriately. Raw MyGuide 11 JSON is not a portable CareMap package with all media attached.

For transferring an already converted Guide, use Export package.
