Review imported Guide compatibility
Inspect conversion findings, repair affected content, and record acknowledgment or resolution.
A successful import can still contain approximations, unsupported behavior, or broken source references. Use the editor's Import compatibility review to understand those differences before using a converted Guide.
This review appears for imported Guides with retained compatibility findings, including MyGuide 11 conversions. Editing and recording review decisions require access to edit the destination Guide.
Open the full Guide review
- Select Open guide after conversion, or edit the imported Guide from Library.
- Select the editor toolbar's warning icon and issue count, labeled Guide issues or No guide issues.
- In Guide issue review, find Import compatibility.
- Review each group and its findings.
Use the full Guide review. A review opened for one page or block does not show the import compatibility section.
Library can show Import review required with a severe-finding count. The editor also shows whether import review is required and how many findings were retained. A zero general issue count does not mean there is no import information to inspect.
Read a finding
| Group | What to examine |
|---|---|
| Converted | An editable equivalent was created. |
| Approximated | The closest supported representation needs checking. |
| Unsupported | Source behavior has no active equivalent. |
| Broken source reference | A reference or source item could not be safely mapped. |
| Runtime or builder review | Check actions, timing, navigation, speech, or other retained behavior. |
Each finding can show Import source, Source feature, CareMap result, and Recommended next step. Use the offered Open … buttons to reach the affected block, page, sequence, or Guide settings. Reused source content can have several destinations; inspect each occurrence.
Repair, then record the decision
- Follow the recommended next step and edit the affected content where needed.
- Test the relevant Guide behavior.
- Return to the full issue review.
- Select Acknowledge for a reviewed finding that offers it.
- For a finding requiring resolution, select Mark resolved after addressing the problem.
These controls save a review decision; they do not automatically repair content, restore omitted features, or prove a test passed. A blocker requires resolution; acknowledgment alone cannot clear it. Findings remain visible after review.
Import reviewed means no severe finding still requires a decision. It is not a guarantee of complete conversion fidelity.
When evidence is incomplete
If Additional findings retained outside this view appears, the displayed list is incomplete. Review the original source and ask for help with the conversion before relying on it. Changes to the set of import findings can require fresh decisions.
