Inline images in Form instructions
Insert, paste, reuse, describe, and resize images within Form Info text, and resolve pending insertions.
Add pictures inside Info text when illustrations belong with formatted instructions. These images display supporting content; they are not uploaded answers.
Insert an image
You need Form edit access, access to the source image, and sufficient workspace storage.
- Open an Info text item's editor and place the cursor near the relevant text.
- Select Insert image in the Rich text toolbar.
- Choose Choose file from this computer, From Library, Code-set images, or Pixabay, as available. Unavailable sources show their reason.
- Select the image and wait until insertion finishes.
- Select the inserted image's Edit control to open Edit image. Review Alternative text, Caption, and Width, then select Save.
- Select Done in the Info text editor and check the Form in Preview.
A device upload initially uses its filename as Alternative text. Replace that with a useful description. Unlike a standalone Display image, an inline image does not have a separate Form-readiness requirement for nonblank Alt text, so review accessibility yourself.
Paste, drop, or reuse pictures
You can paste image files from the clipboard or drop them into Rich text. Pasting supported CareMap rich text containing images also brings its image references through the destination's access and storage checks.
Selecting a source does not guarantee insertion: CareMap must still be able to read the picture and make it usable in this Form. Pictures copied from another content item can consume destination storage. Display resources already owned by this Form can be reused.
A picture is inserted near the cursor after the current block. Review its position before saving, especially after dropping or pasting several images.
Adjust or remove an image
In Edit image, use Alternative text for the accessible description and Caption for visible text. Width accepts a positive value up to 10,000; leave it blank to remove the explicit width. Check the result in Preview on a smaller screen.
Save applies image metadata to the open text draft. Cancel closes that image dialog without applying its metadata edits. You must still finish the outer Info text editor with Done.
Remove takes the picture out of the text draft. Finish with Done to save that removal. Earlier submitted responses remain unchanged.
Finish or cancel pending insertion
While choosing, uploading, or copying an image, the outer item's Done and closing controls are unavailable. A failed insertion stays visible and also holds those controls.
Use Retry after resolving the shown problem, or use Cancel on that insertion to continue editing without it. If access is denied, choose a source you can read; if storage is insufficient, choose a smaller image or ask the workspace owner for help.
If an inserted image shows Image unavailable, select Retry to reload it. Ask the Form author for help if it remains unavailable.
