Inspect Help synchronization
Read Knowledge Base status, retry eligible Help synchronization, and distinguish Profile Document repair.
Global administrators inspect Admin → Dashboard → Readiness → Knowledge Base when CareMap Help search appears unavailable or out of date.
Read the card
- Open the Knowledge Base card.
- Compare its status with Release manifest, Active corpus, and Pending corpus.
- Review article counts, ingestion state/stage, attempts, and last reconciliation.
- Check Profile reconciliation and any displayed error.
- Use Dashboard → Overview → Refresh for a new snapshot.
The release manifest identifies Help content supplied with the current application service. Active corpus is the searchable version; Pending corpus is a replacement being prepared. Displayed version identifiers are abbreviated.
Articles, Stub articles, and Active chunks describe the active searchable content, not the pending version. A stub is an article marked as incomplete. Counts and a matching version do not independently verify that every article's instructions are correct.
Understand the status
- Active: the active Help content matches the current release and its search preparation is complete.
- Syncing: content preparation or Profile Document repair is pending or running.
- Degraded: synchronization, search preparation, or Profile Document repair needs attention; existing active Help content may still be present.
- Unavailable: no active Help corpus is available, or this status card could not load. Read its accompanying message.
Profile Document reconciliation is separate from public Help content. Its scanned/created/ retired counts describe reconciliation of Profile Documents for AI search; they are not public article counts or documents deleted from a person's profile. The overall card can remain Syncing while Help content is already active because this separate repair is still running.
Retry eligible synchronization
- Read the displayed error and retry explanation.
- If Retry synchronization is enabled, select it.
- Wait while it shows Requesting….
- Inspect the resulting status.
- Refresh later to follow preparation to completion.
This requests reconciliation of the current release's Help content and can retry eligible failed, canceled, or stale preparation. It preserves the existing active corpus while replacement work is prepared. It does not edit articles, deploy newer documentation, or provide a manual Profile Document repair control.
Disabled retry is not proof that every metric is healthy. Some degraded conditions do not qualify for this action. Use the main state, error, and Profile reconciliation fields together; request support if they disagree with the retry explanation.
Verify the user experience
Try Help search in Agent after synchronization. A status request or accepted retry does not prove a particular answer is available. If the card cannot load, other Operations cards may remain usable; refresh and report the status/time through an authorized support channel.
