Personal Guide presentation
Choose personal Guide colors, presets, alignment, image size, and answer layouts.
Personal presentation preferences supply the look of Guides you play without changing the saved Guide or another person's preferences. Open Settings > Accessibility > Guide player.
Most selectors save immediately. Presets use a separate Apply preset action. These preferences also affect relevant Guide preview presentation.
Choose colors
Default page color, Default card color, and Default text color apply where the author leaves the corresponding color at its neutral/default choice. Explicit authored colors take priority. A background image is not removed by choosing a personal page color.
To apply a coordinated set:
- Find the color preset control.
- Under Preview a color preset, choose Neutral, Ocean, Forest, Warm, or Plum.
- Review the example using your defaults and the example with an author override. Selecting a preset only previews it.
- Select Apply preset and wait for saving to finish.
- If saving fails, use Retry preset.
A preset changes the three default colors together. It does not change your text size, navigation, or other accessibility preferences. Selecting individual colors can produce a Custom combination.
Surface tone offers Default, Soft, and Contrast. This is a fixed personal choice: Default does not mean “inherit the author's surface tone.” Explicit page colors and backgrounds still matter.
Set text and images
Default rich-text alignment offers Left, Right, Center, and Justified for eligible rich text. Explicit authored non-default alignment takes priority over your default.
Guide image size offers Smaller, Normal, and Larger. It adjusts image presentation together with the authored size; it does not resize the stored image file or replace the image.
For text scaling, use Reading > Guide text size under Accessibility. For custom button symbols, see Guide button images.
Set answer layouts
Option layout keeps each Options field's authored Grid or List presentation:
- Default: responsive Grid tiles or standard List rows.
- Fixed Grid / larger List: centered Grid tiles targeting 150 pixels wide, or full-width List rows with larger thumbnails and touch targets.
Fixed Grid can be smaller than Default on a wide screen. Grid labels remain below their visuals in both layouts, unless you choose to hide option labels. This control does not convert a Grid into a List.
Field answer display offers Summary or Compact presentation for answer controls. It does not change the kind of answer the Guide requests.
If a color or alignment seems unchanged, check whether the author supplied an explicit value. If a save fails, check your connection and choose the setting again; previewing a preset alone never saves it.
