Choose who a Guide Report is About

Set the reporting subject during an active Guide session while keeping Recorded by unchanged.

About identifies the person a Guide session describes. Recorded by identifies the signed-in person who performed it. Changing About does not change Recorded by.

A direct launch normally starts About Me. A scheduled or assigned launch can start with its specified person. CareMap does not require a subject-selection prompt before every run.

Change About during a session

  1. Start the Guide in Play and wait for the session to be ready.
  2. In Full, select About in the player controls. In Simplified, open … > Guide controls and select About.
  3. In Who is this report About?, search for and select an available person.
  4. Wait for the change to complete and check the displayed About name.
  5. Continue the Guide and confirm the subject before finishing.

About appears when another eligible reporting subject is available. If only you are available, the control may be absent. Preview does not offer a real session's About change.

The change updates the current session's subject and records an About-change event. It does not rewrite previously captured Reports. It also does not change the original scheduled or assigned launch context.

Who can be selected

The picker shows people available for reporting; membership in the same organization alone is not permission to report About someone.

For another account or person, CareMap checks permission to view Reports and record Reports About them, or applicable guardian authority. The subject must still be eligible for Care-linked reporting. See consent and access and guardians.

Only the person running the session can change its About subject. The session must still be active and have no sealed Report. Make the change while connected after the session has been saved; do not assume a locally queued offline session has accepted a subject change.

Fix a missing person or failed change

If a person is missing, check the relationship, reporting permissions, and current access. Reconnect and reopen the picker after permissions change. Being able to see a profile or play a Guide does not establish reporting access.

If the picker reports a failure, keep the current subject until a successful change is confirmed. A completed or sealed session cannot change About through the player.

A scheduled or assigned launch whose person is archived or no longer available for reporting may be blocked. Return to that schedule or assignment to review the person and access. The player does not silently substitute Me to bypass that failure.

For the final record and who can view it, see Guide completion and Reports.
