Administration
Assign and filter Tags
Label users and organizations, then use Match any or Match all to narrow their Admin directories.
Global administrators can assign existing Tags to individual users and organizations, then filter the corresponding Admin directory by those labels.
These are separate assignments. Tagging an organization does not automatically tag its members. Tags do not replace organization membership, Manager status, Client visibility, folder sharing, or Package configuration.
Assign or remove labels
- Open Admin → Access → Users or Organizations.
- Select the intended record.
- Find its Tags card and select Manage tags.
- Select the Tags to add and clear the Tags to remove.
- Select Save tags.
- Check the updated labels on the record.
The picker starts with the record's current assignments. Save tags is unavailable until you change a selection; Cancel discards unsaved changes. Use Manage Tags to create a label that is missing from the catalog.
Ordinary and system Tags have separate groups. System definitions cannot be edited here, although their assignments can be changed. Read the warning about automated behavior before changing a system Tag.
Saving applies the additions and removals together. A failed save keeps the dialog open with its error. If another administrator removed a selected Tag, refresh the record and catalog, then make the selection again.
If you lose the connection after saving, reopen the record and check its labels before retrying. Changes to the record's other details use their own save controls.
Filter the directory
- Return to Users or Organizations.
- Open the Tags filter and select one or more labels.
- Select Done to close the picker.
- Choose Match any or Match all.
- Review the filtered results and use Next page when available.
Match any includes records with at least one selected Tag. Match all requires every selected Tag. With no Tags selected, the directory has no Tag restriction and the Match control is unavailable.
Filters also work alongside the directory's text search and, for Organizations, its Staff filter. If an expected record is missing, review all active filters. Selecting a Tag filters the directory; it does not assign that Tag to the listed records.
Open Tags and select Clear to remove the Tag restriction. Other directory filters remain in effect.
If controls are unavailable
Tag assignment and filtering require global administrator access. Organization Manager status alone is insufficient.
Wait for the Tag catalog to finish loading. If it reports an error, refresh the section before trying to save. An empty ordinary-Tag list can mean that none have been created; system Tags appear only when definitions exist.
