Set up browser reminders
Enable, reconnect, or revoke CareMap reminders in a supported browser.
Browser reminders deliver supported CareMap reminders through the browser you enroll. Enrollment belongs to your signed-in account and that browser profile; it does not automatically enroll another browser or device.
Enable this browser
- Sign in to the account that should receive reminders.
- Open Settings > Notifications > Reminder enrollment.
- In Browser reminders, review Web push and Browser permission.
- Select Enable, or Reconnect if the browser already has a local subscription that is not enrolled for this account.
- Allow notifications when the browser asks.
- Wait for the result, then confirm This browser shows Enrolled and permission is Granted.
Opening Settings does not itself prompt for browser notification permission. A supported browser needs notification, background-worker, and push-subscription capabilities. If one is unavailable, the page explains the missing capability and Enable is unavailable.
Active browsers counts account registrations across browsers. A positive count does not mean the browser you are using is enrolled. Likewise, a retained enrollment can still show Enrolled after permission is denied; check both fields.
Reconnect or stop reminders
After changing notification permission in browser or operating-system settings, select Check setup again. If permission is Denied, allow CareMap there before trying Enable or Reconnect again.
Select Revoke to stop server delivery to this browser enrollment and remove its local subscription when possible. Other enrolled destinations remain active. Revoke does not change the browser's permission setting. To enroll again, use the available Enable or Reconnect action.
Clearing site data, changing browser profiles, or losing an expired subscription can require enrollment again. If registration fails, Try again reloads setup information; then repeat Enable or Reconnect. Check the account and avoid trying to reuse another account's enrolled browser destination. A separate browser profile can keep different accounts' notification enrollment separate.
Open a reminder
Selecting a browser reminder focuses an existing CareMap window or opens one. CareMap checks the current account, reminder, and content access before opening supported work. If an old alert no longer opens, find the current item in Home or Schedule instead.
Browser permission alone does not ensure delivery: the service must be ready, the reminder must still be active, and the device must allow alerts to appear. There is no browser Send test in 5 seconds action on this page; that action belongs to eligible native push enrollment. For missing alerts, use Troubleshoot notifications.
