Review and fix Guide warnings
Find builder issues, open the affected settings, and understand launch blockers.
Warnings reviews the Guide's structure, content, media, response methods, and routes. Use it while authoring and before handing a Guide to someone else.
You need Guide edit access to correct its content. Warnings describe the current authored Guide; they are not a record of a player's session.
Review issues
- Open the Guide with Edit.
- Open Warnings in the toolbar, or More > Warnings on a compact layout. The warning icon can show a count, including zero.
- Read the issue's severity, location, and explanation.
- Select Guide settings, Go to sequence, Go to page, or Edit for the affected block, as offered.
- Save the correction through the relevant editor and reopen Warnings.
- Use Preview to test the corrected path.
A block's warning control opens a review filtered to that block. Page review can similarly limit the builder issues. Open the whole-Guide review when you need the complete picture. Imported Guides may also show a separate compatibility review.
| Severity | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Severe | Inspect first; severe launch blockers prevent continuing from a preflight review |
| Warning | Review the problem and decide whether the authored behavior is intentional |
| Notice | Check the informational finding, such as an empty page or timer with no next page |
Use a targeted repair
Some findings offer a direct repair. Create first sequence creates a Main sequence; Create first page adds a First Page to the affected sequence. Set first sequence as start selects the first sequence as the starting one.
These actions change the Guide. Check the resulting structure rather than assuming a repair supplied your intended content. Form-related repair actions open the target or mapping editor so you can make the decision yourself.
Other issues require editing: missing media, invalid response settings, unsupported layout, missing route destinations, or controls that can trap a player. The message identifies the relevant field or location.
Understand preflight review
Some editor Play and Schedule actions show Play preflight or Schedule preflight. Must be fixed first lists launch blockers. Can continue after review lists non-blocking findings.
Correct blockers before Continue to player or Continue scheduling becomes available. Cancel returns without completing that action. Ordinary Preview is a separate test workflow; do not assume every entry into playback uses this editor review.
A clean warning list is not proof that every preference, required answer, media request, or timed route works. The route map also makes assumptions about page order. Test realistic paths in both players and read route-map limits.
If an issue persists, confirm the edit actually saved and that you corrected the location named in the warning.
