Administration
Check backups and request a backup
Review Backup Readiness, run a restore preflight, or request a manual database backup.
Global administrators use Admin → Dashboard → Readiness → Backup Readiness for manifest checks, restore preflight, and manual database-backup requests.
Inspect the current manifest
- Open Backup Readiness.
- Select Refresh Manifest.
- Wait for Checking to finish.
- Review the Manifest badge, generated time, totals, Record Families, and Artifact Classes.
Ready, Needs Review, or Blocked describe the manifest check. Not Checked and the initial no-check notice mean this view has no result yet; they do not establish that scheduled backups are absent.
Record Families groups counted records. Covered means that the family has records in this check, while Empty means its count is zero. Artifact Classes shows totals, ready items, and items needing attention. The Attention count combines missing, stale, and failed items.
Refreshing the manifest inspects current records and stored-artifact metadata. It does not create a backup or download one.
Run a restore preflight
- Select Run Preflight.
- Wait for Checking to finish.
- Review Restore Preflight, its checked time, and each result's reason.
- Resolve or escalate Warning and Blocked results before planning a restoration.
Run Preflight obtains a new current manifest and checks its compatibility and coverage. It does not restore data or rehearse a restoration. N/A means a particular check does not apply.
Manifest and preflight results have separate timestamps. Refresh Manifest does not rerun a previous preflight. A Ready result is evidence about those checks, not confirmation that a backup completed or that every recovery scenario has been exercised.
Request a manual backup
- Select Back Up Now.
- Read Back up the production database now?
- Select Start Backup, or Cancel to leave without requesting it.
- Wait for the request's success or error message.
This starts a database backup using the configured backup service. It does not change the normal daily schedule. Manifest/preflight checks are separate; the screen does not require them before this request.
Backup running and Production database backup started. confirm startup, not completion. This card has no final-completion monitor or backup-download control. Use the authorized operations process to verify completion.
Manual backup can be unavailable in the current environment. A request can also be rejected because a backup is already running or startup failed. Read the returned message and resolve the cause before trying again.
Keep results in context
There is no Restore action here. For recovery assistance, provide the check time, state, and relevant reason through an authorized channel. Do not share credentials or private operational details.
