Configure approval service roles
Enable Clinician, AT Services, and Support Coordination workspaces for an organization.
Use an organization's Clinician, AT Services, and Support Coordination sections to enable the approval workspaces that organization provides.
Enable a service role
- Sign in with an administrator account.
- Open Admin > Access > Organizations.
- Open the organization you want to configure.
- Select Clinician, AT Services, or Support Coordination.
- Select the organization checkbox for that role. The status changes to Active when the update succeeds.
Each designation is independent. An organization can provide one, two, or all three roles:
- Clinician receives referrals, coordinates assessments, and manages clinical assessment work.
- AT Services reviews assessments and prepares approved service lanes for Supplier referral work.
- Support Coordination starts authenticated referrals and completes assigned WAMS, DBHDS, pend, and Case work.
Eligible active Owners and Staff see the matching destination while working in the organization. Clients cannot operate these service-role workspaces. Enabling a role does not make a user a CareMap administrator.
Make a Clinician ready for referrals
Enabling Clinician exposes its workspace, but does not by itself make the organization selectable in a Support Coordination referral.
After the role is active, an eligible Clinician operator must:
- Open the organization and select Clinician > Options.
- Under Referral routing, choose an AT director destination.
- Select Save route.
The route shows Ready to receive authenticated referrals when it is complete. Support coordinators can select only Clinician Organizations with a ready route and eligible operators.
Keep Supplier configuration separate
Approval service roles do not configure Supplier access. Use the organization's Supplier sections to manage its Supplier designation, agreement, Package access, and separate operator eligibility. An organization may have both Supplier access and one or more approval service roles, but each is configured independently.
If a role or referral destination is missing
- Confirm that you opened the intended organization and that the role status is Active.
- Confirm that the operator has an active Owner or Staff membership in that organization.
- For a missing Clinician referral destination, confirm its AT director destination is saved and the route reports ready.
- For Supplier access, review the separate Supplier configuration instead of changing an approval service role.
