Supplier Passthrough

Enter an eligible managed account to provide direct setup help, then return to your own account.

Supplier Passthrough temporarily opens an eligible managed account so you can provide direct setup help from that account's CareMap view. Your original sign-in remains available on the same device until you exit.

Who can use Passthrough

The Supplier workspace is available to an eligible organization's Owner or a manager while Supplier access is active. You can enter only an account that CareMap currently lists as managed by that Supplier.

Passthrough does not add administrator authority or reveal content beyond the managed account's own access. If the Supplier relationship or your role changes, entry may no longer be available.

Enter a managed account

  1. Switch to the organization that owns the Supplier relationship.
  2. Open Supplier, then Accounts.
  3. Clear the Supplier search or select Refresh if the account is not visible.
  4. Find the managed account and select Enter under Access.
  5. Wait for CareMap to open the account, then confirm the banner says Viewing as the expected person.

The banner also names the source account used to enter. Check both names before making a change.

Work safely while viewing as someone else

  • Actions use the managed account's permissions and affect that account's content or settings.
  • Use Passthrough only for authorized setup or support work. Confirm changes with the account owner when appropriate.
  • You cannot enter another account while Passthrough is already active. Exit first, then return to Supplier > Accounts.
  • The Viewing as banner remains visible while the temporary session is active. In Settings, the usual sign-out action also changes to Exit passthrough.

Return to your account

  1. Select Exit passthrough in the Viewing as banner, or open Settings and select Exit passthrough.
  2. In the Exit passthrough? dialog, confirm Exit passthrough.

CareMap closes the managed account session and returns to the source account. The confirmation dialog identifies both accounts and explains that the original session remains signed in on the device.

If entry or exit does not work

  • If Enter is temporarily unavailable, wait for the current attempt to finish, select Refresh, and try again.
  • If CareMap reports that Passthrough is not authorized, confirm that you selected the correct organization, still have Owner or manager access, and the account remains in Supplier > Accounts.
  • If CareMap returns to the source account immediately, the temporary session may no longer be eligible. Refresh the managed-account list before trying again.
  • If the source sign-in cannot be restored, follow the displayed message and sign in again.

When requesting help, share the organization, managed account name, approximate time, and visible message. Do not share passwords, sign-in links, or other sensitive account information.
