Account and Settings

Delete your account

Request account deletion and understand the visible effect on your access.

Deleting your account permanently removes your CareMap login and personal workspace after a seven-day cancellation period.

Before you start

Your account must have an email address. If you are the only active Manager of an organization, assign another active Manager before requesting deletion.

Deletion removes your personal workspace, credentials, contacts, schedules, and conversations. Shared, organization, audit, or legally retained information may remain when required. CareMap removes your identity from retained information where possible and may show it under Deleted CareMap user.

Request account deletion

  1. Open Settings, then select Account.
  2. Find the Danger Zone and select Delete account.
  3. Review the consequences, type DELETE, and select Email deletion confirmation.
  4. Open the confirmation email and select Confirm account deletion within 24 hours.

Your account remains active until you use the confirmation link. You can stop an unconfirmed request by selecting Cancel deletion request in Settings.

After you confirm

CareMap signs out every device, locks the account, and schedules cleanup for seven days later. A second email shows the scheduled date and includes a single-use Cancel account deletion link.

Use that cancellation link before cleanup begins if you change your mind. Your account becomes active again, but previously signed-out sessions stay signed out, so you must sign in again. After the grace period and cleanup, deletion cannot be undone.

If you cannot complete the request

  • If the confirmation email does not arrive, check the email address on your account and your spam or junk folder, then try again.
  • If a confirmation link expires, cancel the pending request in Settings and submit a new one.
  • If CareMap says you are the only active Manager, assign another active Manager to the named organization and try again.
  • A used, expired, or invalid cancellation link cannot restore the account. Contact CareMap support before the scheduled cleanup date if you need help.
