People overview

Find people and open the profiles available through your CareMap access.

People is the place to find your CareMap contacts and act on contact or care-team invitations. The Contacts tab is selected first and shows active contacts connected to your signed-in account. Your own profile, Record, and certificates are under Account, not People.

On a small screen, open More if People is not in your customized bottom toolbar.

Find and open a contact

  1. Open People and select Contacts.
  2. Use Search people in the top bar to filter by a contact's name, email, or relationship state.
  3. Select a contact row to open their profile.

The contact profile shows the person's name, email, and relationship details. It can also include Record and Certificates tabs when those sections are available to you. Select Back to People to return to the contact list.

Clear the search or select Cancel search to restore the full list. If the list is empty, invite a contact or confirm that an existing invitation has been accepted.

Invite a contact

  1. Select Invite contact in the People top bar.
  2. Enter the email address used by the other person's CareMap account.
  3. Select Send invite.
  4. Open Invitations to review the pending outgoing invitation.

You cannot invite your own email address. CareMap also prevents another pending invitation to the same email. The recipient must sign in with the invited email and accept before the relationship appears under Contacts.

Review invitations

The Invitations tab shows incoming contact and care-team invitations plus outgoing contact invitations. Each row identifies who sent or received the request, its status, and when it was sent and expires.

  • Select Accept or Decline for an incoming request.
  • Accept all accepts eligible incoming contact invitations. Care-team invitations still require an individual decision.
  • Select Cancel to withdraw a pending contact invitation you sent.

Accepted, declined, expired, and canceled requests leave the pending list. Accepting a contact invitation creates the contact relationship; declining or canceling does not.

Understand access

A contact relationship does not automatically reveal all information. The contact profile and Record show only what the other person has made available through current permissions. Care-team, Guardian, organization, and consent rules are separate access paths.

If an expected contact or invitation is missing, confirm the signed-in account and invited email, clear any People search, and check whether the invitation expired or was canceled. When an invitation error offers Try again, use it after checking your connection. A removed contact relationship requires a new invitation and acceptance before the contact appears again.
